Mission:

The Alameda Community News Project’s mission is to promote civic engagement and transparency by providing high quality, nonpartisan news coverage that is no longer available through traditional media, and to create a local institution that supports and is accountable to our island community. The Project offers news and information in the public interest through publication of The Alamedan, an online daily news website, providing knowledgeable daily and in-depth coverage of civic and community institutions.
