College Dream Team Project
The College Dream Team Project (CDT) was founded in 2005 with the vision to promote social justice and reduce poverty through education. CDT works in partnership with public and other non-profit entities to foster the college dreams of low-income students. The Program serves low-income, at-risk youth from the ages of 15-24 years old.
MISSION
CDT seeks to educate, mentor and inspire low-income students by providing the tools and guidance needed to prepare for, apply to and attend 4-year colleges. This mission includes empowering students by teaching self-reliance, college/ career goal setting skills, healthy living strategies and resource building talents.
SERVICES
The program provides workshops and individual services in the following areas:
CDT has provided in-depth college and career planning guidance to hundreds of low-income students. Many of these students are attending 4-year universities due to CDT services. Each year CDT has expanded its services and numbers of students helped. The majority of CDT students live in poverty and the rest are low-income students. Most CDT students are environmentally at-risk, come from abused and neglected backgrounds, and/or live in economically challenged neighborhoods.
Your generous donations will help CDT provide direct services to low-income students so they have skills to pursue a university education and make valuable contributions to society.
