Teachers 4 Social Justice



Teachers 4 Social Justice (T4SJ) is a grassroots non-profit teacher support and development organization. T4SJ educates and organizes teachers and community-based educators, and implements programs and projects aimed at developing empowering learning environments, creating more equitable access to resources and power, and realizing a just and caring culture within the educational system and greater society.

Since 2000, T4SJ has been developing projects to create a community of teachers dedicated to social justice and to increase that community's capacity for organizing and leadership. This is done through 3 primary methods: conducting peer-based study groups, providing an interactive website for teachers to network and share ideas, and presenting an annual conference which draws educators from San Francisco and the Bay Area.
